About Us

Arvada Army Navy Surplus was opened in 1984 by Ed Linkow, taking over the hardware store that previously occupied the space. As a True-Value dealer, we mixed paint, sold various hardware, even nails and screws by the pound! We became well accepted in the community, selling Levi's, work clothing, boots, hardware and military surplus. In May of 1989, a fire started in an unused bathroom and destroyed the entire building. By September of the same year, a new building was constructed, and product was coming back in.

When Ed Linkow passed away, Larry Cohen took over day-to-day operations. We became members of the Worldwide Distribution Buying Group, which gives us the ability to purchase high quality products at low prices. We pass these savings on to our customers. Our military surplus inventory has decreased, but still remains a presence in the store, giving way to Carhartts, Dickies, and Camping/Outdoor gear.

Arvada Army Navy Surplus currently has a staff of 15 people. Our low turnover means that our customers can deal with staff that are experienced in all areas of the store. We've also had the same hours of operation since the store opened; the only 3 days we're closed are Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.

From I-70: Exit at Wadsworth, go North to 53rd Ave. Turn Left at 53rd. 53rd turns into Olde Wadsworth, follow road into Olde Town Arvada to 57th Ave. We are on the Northwest corner.

From Wadsworth going North: See above directions.

From Wadsworth going South: Take Wadsworth Bypass to Ralston Rd/58th Ave. Turn West(right), to Olde Wadsworth. Turn South(left), go one block to 57th Avenue.







Shipping/Returns

Need to return one of our products? Simply ask yourself these 3 questions:

1. CONDITION: Is your merchandise still in original, brand new condition, unwashed, showing no signs of wear or use of any kind? Clothing must still have the tags attached unless defective(see below) ___YES___NO

2. COMPLETENESS: Have you enclosed all the original tags, etc. that arrived with your merchandise? ___YES___NO

3. RECENCY: Was your merchandise delivered less than 30 days ago? ___YES___NO

If you have answered NO to any of the above questions, please do NOT attempt to return your merchandise, as we will not be able to process your return, and cannot ship the items back to you.

If you answered YES to ALL of the above questions, please follow the steps below to return your merchandise.

Generally, you are responsible for any shipping costs incurred to send items back to us. If you received an item mistakenly, contact us to arrange return shipping.

If you believe you have received the wrong item or a defective, we will work with you to get you a replacement. We do not expect a defective item to be in original condition. If we mistakenly sent you the wrong item, you must send it back in new condition for us to be able to send the correct item.

How can I return items that qualify?

1. INFORMATION Please send a brief note describing the reason for the return. If you are exchanging, please state the item/size you need. Enclose payment if the amount of your replacement is more than the exchange.

2. SHIPPING Select a shipping method that will guarantee delivery, and send your item ATTN: RETURNS 5701 Olde Wadsworth Blvd. Arvada CO 80002.

3. PROCESSING Allow approximately 1-3 weeks after your return arrives back at our store to receive your replacement item or refund (less shipping costs). We do not usually charge to ship exchange items back to you via standard ground shipping.

In an effort to be more Green, Arvada Army Navy Surplus recycles boxes. So don't be surprised when you see those great jeans you ordered come in a boot box. It's just us trying to be a bit more friendly to the environment.
